Winona Farm

Owned and managed by farmer Colin Seis, the property of Winona was one of the original case studies in regenerative agriculture, and continues to be recognised globally for its sustainable agriculture practices. To repair and manage environmental degradation caused by bushfire, declining soil quality, dying vegetation and increasing salinity, Col Seis invented the pasture cropping technique. These methods have seen Winona enter the 21st century as a thriving farm delivering multiple agricultural enterprises.

Red Hill EEC work closely with Col Seis to improve student learning through hands-on fieldwork studies through a variety of secondary learning programs.
