Hands on Rock

Hands on Rock is a significant cultural and historical site for the Wiradjuri people. The forested area is surrounded by stunning pagodas and Box Gum Grassy Woodland, with a rich biodiversity of flora and fauna. We treat this area with care and respect showing Yindyamarra through our learning.

Hands on Rock is a 36km drive from Gulgong via Cope Rd and Ulan Rd.

The ‘Hands on Rock’ Aboriginal Rock Art site is 600 metres from the car park along a bush-walk that slopes up steadily to the rock cliffs. A viewing platform has been built, and visitors are asked not to leave it or the walking path.
